Re: Interested in Fedora on Smaller Machines?

I'm a bit late to this thread, but....

Me and Yaakov Nemoy have packaged the Ubuntu netbook applications,
such as the new launcher, window picker etc. They're now waiting for
review to get into Fedora, and if anyone would like to help out here,
that would be great! Bug numbers are below:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=451771

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=451773
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=462736

Also, this evening I plan to work on creating a minimal spin with
these packages on and configured to launch by default, as a first step
towards creating a Fedora Netbook/Mini spin.

I realise there are loads of different ways we could approach this,
and I really like the idea of trying to do a similar spin with Sugar
as the interface, but this is where I'm going to be focussing my
attention for now.

Can I suggest that if people are interested in starting a SIG wrt
this, then we should arrange to have a meeting at some point in the
near future?

Jon
