Generally speaking, not referring to your proposal, these counter proposals/critical remarks often are motivated from a) Don't break what's not broken b) A proposal is incomplete and misses to cover essential parts of a problem. c) A proposal is replacing one problem with another one. d) A proposal is naive, silly and dumb.
