(a) Are you interested in a Fedora Architecture SIG for Cell who would
test and maintain a SPU tool chain, and

Yes, indeed I'm interested.

(b) Are you interested in taking the route I've taken in constructing a
tool chain for Fedora (GCC 4.3 based) rather than supporting the IBM
Cell SDK (GCC 4.1 based)?

It would be really good to have toolchain support in Fedora for the Cell architecture.
Right now we are initially trying to get libspe2 as a package into Fedora.

As soon as we have this package approved we may try to get others included as well. I'll talk with our maintainers and let you know about the results.
