IIRC it came up during one of the endless discussions about KDE being
"allegedly" a second-class citizen in Fedora ..
Please cite the source. The rewrite afaik has never had working with
other desktop environments better as a goal (I wouldn't even know what
such a goal would even mean). The goals are listed in
