The fixed packages are in koji and bodhi now.  Ekiga was removed from
the default environment in the Live CD (and, I think, from the default
installation package set) because of this problem.

If you truly care about this package, please show it:

1. Visit bodhi, and try the updates with Fedora 9
2. Once you've tried it out and find it works, cast a karma vote in
favor of it being pushed to stable

It *is* unfortunate that this wasn't fixed in time to ship on the
default media, but thanks to the software update tools, the new
persistent Live capabilities, and the huge array of tools like
livecd-tools and pungi to make runnable or installable media, it's not
an all-or-nothing game.
