Maybe /etc/hosts doesn't include hostname or something? > Looking into /etc/hosts indeed shows something interesting - the file is empty, but there is also /etc/hosts.bak which includes hostnames for 127.0.0.1 and ::1... Might this cause the strange behaviour? Martin
