Hm, F8 had 2.1.1 which defaulted to using the native backlight control regs 
for most people.  We switched to using the legacy ones for 2.2.0 because we 
were getting bug reports from people whose backlight controls didn't work at 
all, but maybe we have to revisit that decision...
