It appears to work for me, however when booting to it after 2.6.23.15-137.fc8, 
like the previous 2.6.24.3 revisions, it renamed my ifcfg-wlan1 to 
ifcfg-wlan1.bak so manual renaming to non-.bak was still required before 
networking could work.

wlan1 is a rt2500pci in this box, and I also saw the .bak renaming happen on 
another box for both its interfaces (wlan0: iwl3945, eth0: tg3) with 
2.6.24.3-12.  I can't test 2.6.24.3-34 with it before next week because I 
must be able to access it remotely before then.

Is this a bug in the kernel package or its interaction with something else?  
udev?
