I've been doing that for seven years here at BU and, although it's

With drives the size they tend to be these days, the common case is that
we've got 200+ GB to work with. Put 10GB for / and give the rest to /home.


You are not counting here new users that have already partitioned their 200+GB drives and have lots of multimedia and off course windows on their hdd.
