You can use either
a) Makefile.common Addons to get "make commit":

b) make clog; cvs commit -F clog
Can you make an effort to get this all merged into the makefile in
Fedora CVS? I suspect that a lot of package maintainers are not aware of
this wiki page/specific enhancement and are losing out the benefits.
