The multisync spec uses %{?dist} already. It's just that at some point of time you end up with devel: 2%{?dist} F-8: 2%{?dist} F-7: 2%{?dist} and you can patch and bump F-8 to 3%{?dist} without updating "devel". Your branches get out-of-sync.
