Tseng driver when not broken (it's fully functional in SUSE, broken in Fedora) supports 1400x1050x16bpp and 1280x960x16bpp on 4MB cards. The best the VESA driver can do for standard 4/3 displays with these cards is 1152x864x16bpp. Native resolution on my LCD display is 1400x1050. All my other displays are CRT, where 1280x1024 is unacceptable though the only ostensibly better option than 1152x864 at 16bpp or better. -- "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
