Hal issue with kde4 ? [Fwd: Re: Shall I test KDE4 already ?]

With latest kde 4 compiled by hand, there is an issue with the filemanager dolphin, and mounting removable media.

According to the kde guys, this is a fedora problem and not a kde problem.

See the email message below.

Note that the error I now get with latest F8 is:

"An error occurred while accessing 'name_of_media', the system said:
org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.PermissionDeniedByPolicy:
org.freedesktop.hal.storage.mount-removable no <-- (action,result)"H

Like I said, I'm running under Fedora 7 compiled from svn.
Issue is with mounting usb drives/keys.
The device shows up in left hand Places.
Clicking on it gives the following error:

An error occurred while accessing 'Volume (vfat)' the system said:
org.freedesktop.Hal.PermissionDenied: Permission denied: Not in active
session

this is a problem with ConsoleKit / fedora packages / your OS setup, not
dolphin.
