yes, openchrome is based on what used to be the via xorg driver.

So then should the existing via driver stop claiming them?  Otherwise
don't we start running into unspecified behavior when multiple .xinf
files claim a device?

My understanding is openchrome will only claim a device if it's manually installed (obviously), and if the user invokes system-config-display again after that. Does this make sense ?
