Current ipods are set up with 2048 byte sectors which syslinux (and other bootloaders) don't support, so you can't actually boot from them. Fixing that requires a lot of really grotty work to clean out all of the "sector size == 512" assumptions through syslinux and even then, no guarantee that it doesn't brick the iPod > Also curious if it is possible to have multiple live images on a flash device and boot different ones?
