Oh yeah, that's always a good idea ;-)

We could always encode /proc/cpuinfo + compiler flags used into dependencies and... :)

Since my last foray into the rpm source, I have even more respect
for pnasrat.  I'd drink a lot more if I were in his position.

Hehe, can I quote you on that (I work on RPM these days with Paul) ;)
Oh and btw, RPM 4.4.2.1 will support %patch -F<n> too.
