Has the project discussed or determined how we will:
1) Close out the approximately 7,000+ open bugs?

Do you have any ideas? You're part of the projet.
I was trying to be polite by not rehashing or pushing something that had already been discussed. If work has already been done I thought it would better build on it instead starting from scratch.
I'm still trying to understand exactly what processes and decisions go into creating a Fedora release... from the planning process all the way to GA and maintenance. I'd like to think that eventually we could have a document explaining this entire process, including how bugs are handled. I think this is an important aspect of being transparent as a project.
