Though I'm curious why integrating it is important if the plugin works well enough? -sv I wrote the skip-broken plugin because Seth asked me too, we agreed that it was best to make it as a plugin because the check skip-broken does take extra time, so you don't want to do it every time. Integration of the skip-broken option into yum cli base, will not solve the issue for the new users because they use pup to update the system, so the have to be build some support for skip-broken into pup. In yumex i am planning to ask the user if they want to remove packages with broken depencies, if dependency error is found in the transaction. I think that the plugin is fine for yum-cli, but extra stuff can be build into the gui's like pup,pirut & yumex. Tim Tim |
