PANIC on RPMDB... can't even get version numbers for installed packages...

After update done 00:23 08/Mar/2006 the following  happened (so  I can't even get version for packages...):
 

[root@terra ~]# yum update
rpmdb: PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery
error: db4 error(-30977) from dbenv->open: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
error: cannot open Packages index using db3 -  (-30977)
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm

erro: não consigo abrir o índice de Packages usando o db3 -  (-30977)
erro: não consigo abrir a base de dados Packages em /var/lib/rpm
[root@terra ~]#
