Cheers, just tried as of a few minutes ago and it's still with me.. kernel BUG at include/asm/xor.h:633! invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP Modules linked in: xor raid1 raid0 xennet sr_mod sd_mod scsi_mod cdrom squashfs loop nfs nfs_acl lockd sunrpc vfat fat cramfs CPU: 0 After install was done there were also a few errors on start up (something about /dev/map ). > > 2) Ridiculously slow : 4 hours for a guest install of ‾500mb. Just had it complete an install in an hour. Which is better. Ran some tests. wget over local net ( layer 2 switched no routing hops ) of openoffice-core RPM (77MB) : 100%[====================================>] 80,504,759 1.52M/s ETA 00:00 932.47 KB/s The same test from domain-0 : 100%[=================================================================================================================>] 80,504,759 10.03M/s ETA 00:00 10.40 MB/s. That's a very big difference. Normally I'd say it was duplex problem but I can't check that because of this : [root@localhost ~]# ethtool eth0 Settings for eth0: No data available > > > 3) Install crashes out at random points into install : > > > > Traceback (most recent call last): File > > > > "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 1210, in ? > > > > > > > > handleException(dispatch, intf, sys.exc_info()) > ... > > > > return _snack.reflow(text, width, flexDown, flexUp) > > > > > > > > TypeError: argument 1 must be string without null bytes, not str > > > > install exited > > > > abnormally > > Looks like an anaconda bug; could you file a bug report, please? Sure, will try and reproduce. You know, I think it happened last week with two guest installs at the same time. Will check.
