I don't think /usr/bin/rebuild-gcj-db or /usr/bin/rebuild-gcj-db have
anything to do with python, so i doubt it is a python issue. and
secondly the rawhide python version is 2.4.2. 

But a deadlock might be the cause, because when i hang strace on the
program it seems to wait on a futex.
