Based on my experience, automatic updates by default *is* best security
practice AND turning disabling that default and conscientiously and
regularly applying tested updates by hand is also.
I tried having a discussion about this in #fedora-devel and was shot
down by a few people as crazy nut for suggesting that Anaconda or
firstboot provide a option that enables updates by default. The pros and
