As a matter of fact I did some serious trying to get the initng rpm's
pretty enough for Fedora Extras a while ago (according to the guidelines
at http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Extras/NewPackageProcess). I never got
rpmlint to like my rpm's though. I don't have much spare time, but if
anyone that is good at rpm building would just give me a hand with
fixing up the spec file, I'd be happy to maintain the package.

Sure. Just submit the package to bugzilla or post in the extras list
with the spec file for peer reviews. Not all rpmlint complaints are
valid so dont let that put you off.
