I think the general response in the previous discussion was
"cautious, but positive". Please just make a formal proposal (*)
and let's move on with this.

(*) FESCo would be one option. I don't think we have a more authoritative body
specialized for QA. Or just open a pull request for the gating config. But
I expect that that'd get bounced back to FESCo anyway, so it probably makes
sense to do the PR and FESCo ticket in parallel.
