I don't really ... but upstream projects might want to consider porting to gitoxide / gix in the future. It's a bit annoying to maintain (the project is split into like 100 crates), but using them doesn't require statically linking libgit2 - which has a bit of a poor track record wrt/ security issues. Not sure how feasible / possible that would be in the case of gitui, though.
