Well, I remember that we had a defined process and that that process was played/rigged/you name it to propel a codename that many people were very unhappy with. We'd have to make sure to avoid that in a new process. But: We have too many meaningless names already, just look at the names of some spins we (used to) have. Kinoite really is/was the only differently named one with some klear klue to its konnection. Sericea? Silverblue? And ublue folks are taking this new "heights" with aurora and whatnot. Whenever I have to find out if something is new or old in debian I'm forced to check whether bullseye, weasel or whatever is the newest silly name. It's just unhelpful. And as soon as we tag a name on a release, some people will use it instead of the release number, adding to the confusion. So please just don't. Except for 42 of course ;-) Michael -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
