For context, I was trying to remind myself of the various reasons why we stopped doing release names originally. Sadly a lot of Fedora's historical record appears to be lost from moving and/or discontinuing services :-( The best I found was: https://web.archive.org/web/20140402023558/https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/advisory-board/2013-October/012209.html which links to "meeting minutes" documented in https://fedorahosted.org/board/ticket/146 which no longer exists, and doesn't seem to have been archived either [1]. The requirement to get legal vetting was the main issue mentioned in the mailing post, and I do recall that was the big resource drain in the old process. We would need to get legal clearance to use "Adams" I presume. At least if we're doing this as a pre-determined choice in one-off exercise, we're not going to be wasting Legal resources as we did when we had them vetting 5+ different names every 6 months. With regards, Daniel [1] at least if it was archived, it is well hidden from me :-) -- |: https://berrange.com -o- https://www.flickr.com/photos/dberrange :| |: https://libvirt.org -o- https://fstop138.berrange.com :| |: https://entangle-photo.org -o- https://www.instagram.com/dberrange :| -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
