I maintain three:
mozilla-noscript, mozilla-ublock-origin and mozilla-privacy-badger

They all have:

<component type="addon">
  ...
  <extends>org.mozilla.firefox.desktop</extends>

in their *.metainfo.xml files.

I don't use G-S, but I had bugs filed after firefox got renamed to
org.mozilla.firefox asking to update the relevant metainfo, so I did.
