Thanks for the heads up (!)... and sorry for the unannounced bump.
I totally overlooked that this package had so many dependencies, direct or
indirect.
As you have suggested on another channel, I feel it is the moment for me to
handover the ownership of that package to anyone having more time to take
care of it.
I tried to orphan the package through the "Orphan" button in the source
application (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/re2 ), but it triggered an
error ("Unable to orphan the package: An error occurred at the database
level and prevent the action from reaching completion").
I'm not sure what's going on. The package looks properly orphaned. You
may want to open a ticket with releng, having them check everything is
in a sane state.
That package is not difficult to maintain/to build. But, as you noted,
whenever there is a new version, the change needs to be coordinated into
Fedora (e.g., announce the new version and future change, build the
dependencies in a Koji side tag, etc), as there are many dependencies,
direct or indirect.
In the meantime, I can help rebuild the dependencies whenever Koji will be
back to work (I haven't checked yet).
Thanks for the offer. I see, you are a proven packager. You could work
your way through the list once grpc has landed in f41 and f42/rawhide.
Koji is back but swamped due to an accidental ELN mass rebuild going on.

Once the grpc-1.48.4-40 builds are done, start with libarrow and
mtxclient, followed by:
bloaty
ceph
dnsdist
libphonenumber
nheko
onnxruntime
parlaylib
The other packages are either already broken, already fixed or need
attention with regards to libre2.so.11.
