All this data belongs to them, and most (including me) don't want to share it with multi-billionaire corporations.
+1 for some it's more than a 'want', rather a strict requirement.
developers must respect it.
there's unfortunately (imo) no such 'must' policy or requirement for developers. at least not one that's clear enough to have put this to rest before it started. still, ignoring users, or imposing ... um ... "bad policy" or "telemetry" ... on them, has a strong tendency to not go well for FOSS(-ish) projects. increasingly so when it comes to 'privacy' and 'rights' issues. again, 'their' choice is theirs. 'our' choice is ours. actions have consequences. -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
