I am sorry but you make it sound like you will never stop until you get the
metrics you want. This is so _scary_
What I noticed in such discussions is, that there is the assumption that
person-A's intention, is what person-B's finds scary. But there is the
possibility that the both "target/assumptions" are _not_ the same
(independent how they exactly look like)! Metrics are not evil per se
and for every engineer its known, that measurement leads to knowledge.
IMHO the focus should be on the method and not on whether it is bad in
principle.
Anyhow, as far as I am aware, on 2024-07-07 this proposal has not been
accepted.
Discussing whether the projects fails or not is not something that we should
do because it would "ingrain" in our brains the idea that it has been
accepted. And it hasn't ;-)
