There is already the compat package imported (https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/tbb2020.3, https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/message/HHT5VR7V3DCDZYUICOX2J6ZSPXWKY2PX/), and it was stalled by fallout from Python 3.12 (https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/message/P44YQVEVWDDMYAUMQSA6NQQEVQRDAZ4G/, https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/message/MPK673HOREP6GMBEFSNPWNH5FSAENNGF/). Dropping the change and making the owners go through the entire process again in F40 when it is already in progress is not a nice thing to do. > > I was not present during the meeting, but apparently the Change owner > no longer works for Red Hat, which is why this was apparently > abandoned. > In this case, I agree with the decision to drop it instead of pushing > it to F40, since there's currently nobody working on it. Yes, exactly. We have no idea if this will be picked up again (either by trodgers or by somebody else), so it seems better to drop it than to pretend that we expect it to happen for F40.
