The metadata is explicitly CC0-1.0 -- but even if we later did firmware one of the things I negotiated with the vendors uploading firmware to the LVFS was that we have the transferable permission to redistribute the firmware -- which is how big companies can "mirror the entire LVFS" when servers have no internet access.
