Interesting. Can you pin down from you analysis where the difference comes from, especially in user-space? I'm asking for a friend :-)
Just a note: GDM gets shut down after a timeout. So the stats might differ whether you collect them directly after login or a short while afterwards. Something to be aware of.
... the point being: Do upgrades profit as well, or should we review systemd services at boot which might remain from F37 after upgrade for new defaults?
