In source (header files) we have replace tags that are supposed to help with porting.
// @replaces dnf:dnf/base.py:method:Base().install(self, pkg_spec, reponame=None, strict=True, forms=None)

Additionally we have a plan to provide Python tutorial to make porting easy. Right now, documentation is our priority.

Good suggestion and we plan to provide such a document

The package review process for DNF5 is close to finish, therefore we expect release soon.
