Maybe call it the Fedora Update Manager 'FUM' ?
Unless we're going to call it RUM when it makes its way into
RHEL, that name may not be the best choice :-)
I like RUM. Goes well with RPM. But I'd probably symlink it to whisky.
In honor of Seth Vidal, I would also support going back to YUM.
How about YUMMER? Referring back to YUM and making all Dutch speaking
users giggle.
Well Red Hat shipped the Yellowdog Update Manager for 2 releases
so I am sure they can go with FUM or RUM (RPM Update Manager).. I
would avoid Backup Upgrade Manager though.
Ugh, acronyms, how boring. If we stay true to the abbreviation
equilibristics that gave us DNF coming from DaNdiFied YUM, it's
only natural to name the ApPoinTed DNF successor APT. =)
I think Julian Klode would kill us for that. :P
How about yapt? Putting yum into apt or making apt yummie. :D

Think about all the guides that can be found via search engines for how to
do things in a given OS. If we're constantly changing the package
manager/command, even if syntax is similar or identical, it's raising the
bar of entry for inexperienced users.
All solvable by providing symlinks as is currently the case for yum. I
still happen to type 'yum install' on a regular basis. As the saying
goes: You cannot teach an old (yellow) dog new tricks.
