In fwupd we add a BootXXXX target and sets BootNext to run the capsule
update loader. 99.99% of the time it works just fine, ~0.01% of the
time it corrupts all the other BootXXXX entries, including the default
windows one. We support chainloading from grub for exactly this
reason....
