I used that desktop menu, but I will now try to configure ctrl-shift-T to open a new terminal. It's the same key sequence to open a new tab in a terminal... Hope that can be made to work.
Well that didn't have the desired effect. The ctrl-shift-t for terminal worked but eclipsed the ctrl-shift-t meaning 'new tab' in the terminal.
How much coding would be involved in adding a 'new terminal or tab in terminal' keyboard shortcut? Or is that too KDE-ish and useful for Gnome?
