So you're saying that the *only* thing we really need the PDC for is
to allow modules to be retired, and that's why you don't want it to go
away?
Given that it's basically unmaintained, and causes problems on a
regular basis, that reason looks very weak to me.
Couldn't those module EOL dates be handled much simpler? I mean, even
a static text file would be a better solution for that than what we
have now.
