It is too late in my timezone to do a joke about this. :-D
I am not sure if this is the cause but I had problems when I installed jupyterlab_spellchecker extension to work in Jupyter Lab.
And it seems that I am not the only one:

it is difficult to remember how I fixed the issue but it was a frustrating and tiring experience. :-(
I hope that this change help theses cases.
