I have no problem informing users that a mirror is full in the
webpage. But full mirrors shouldnt be removed from the dynamically
created mirrorlist nor should users be encouraged to contact a
mirror-admin if the mirror is full instead of dead and unresponsive.

Yes, my probes, written in c, return the http error codes as exits
codes. These codes should let us determine pretty well the status of
the mirror.
Now, to figure how to slurp the exit codes along with the return values
into perl.
