It doesn't seem fair to me. I understand the problem here, but we push updates once a day and today's push is already finished. The problem with running another push just before starting the EOL process is that update pushes take some time and we cannot start the EOL process until they are finished and the push might fail which delays the EOL process even further. EOL process takes some time and we cannot delay it to the next day and also even when going through the EOL process, updates can go to stable and we cannot simply keep pushing them.
