There are guidelines, but:1) historically, not all packages follow them 2) for human reasons, not all packages follow them3) there are packages that follow guidelines but still make this difficult.e.g. applications can be called "app" and not "python3-app".
I understand. But my point is that it might be better to emphasize the default convention. Of course exceptions might be necessary.
