Ah, man .... you didn't keep the old version of that primary.xml.gz.sqlite file did you? Now that you have narrowed down the problem.. it would have been interesting to poke at that file to see what was going wrong.

yup,  I kept it   = 8-)
it is 7218176 bytes.
