Federation implies either freely cross-server identities or freely cross-server access. In order to access a channel on Freenode, you need a Freenode account and log into the Freenode server itself. Matrix allows MXIDs for rooms and users to float across servers freely by synchronizing events across subscribed servers. For example, this allows my MXID on matrix.org to login to kde.org Matrix rooms and chat with folks from kde.org, opensuse.org, mozilla.org, and so on. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth! _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to devel-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
