LoLI have set "focus follows mouse"
I too do this now and then and kwin-tiling is really good at allowing this as well as allowing me to resize the windows for a temporary override.Actually what I find most useful is an hybrid approach. I mean, tiled windows, but sometimes I need to focus on only one windows and to maximize it :)

Well since a few days ago Tiling Extension ( https://github.com/kwin-scripts/kwin-tiling ) goes very well stable and without crashes :)
