Its maintainance is not much work, the problem is with its support.

Is it reasonable to maintain something only used by a few people ?

More, It will forbid to improve some packaging in web app
relying on the use of FPM and its pool configuration.

E.g. 1 webapp using a dedicated pool, with specific configuration
and running a dedicated user for security purpose, instead of all
webapps running under the same default user account.
