I'd expect that this is something what the rawhide gating would avoid. Of course, it expects reasonably good gating tests for the package(s), there's no doubt, but in this particular case, where hundreds of packages failed to build, even for a single architecture... I guess it would be a nice proof of concept for the rawhide gating, if caught by it.
