And even that is not safe to assume. The baseline is SSE2, nothing more. No SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, AVX(1), AVX2, and most definitely no AVX-512 (none of the defined subsets of it). For any of these, CPU support MUST be detected at runtime before attempting to use them.
