Because you did not use an appropriate channel to discuss your concerns.
Bugzilla is a tool to report bugs, most frequently when something does
not work as documented and things like that. This was apparently not
the case.
Even if bugzilla is not a proper place for the discussion (on for the sake of
the argument, yets agree it isn't), that should not justify ignoring it. If the
maintainer doesn't consider the place good, they should simply say so.
